I have a Leatherman PST II that´s about 7 years old. It has allways served me well but it´s now time to retire it and buy a new one.
My question is: has Leatherman improved the scissors on the PST II:s you can buy today? Because the scissors on my old PST II isn´t to good - it´s impossible to use it on harder materials like a creditcard or a hard fingernail.

I don't know what kind of sissors they used 7 years ago, but the PST II, that I bought in December has the same sissors as the Wave. These sissors can easily cut credit cards and finger nails.
BTW, I find that the wire cutters are great for cutting things that are too tough for the sissors.

Mate, now that you want to retire the trusty PST ii consider
it's offspring the PULSE. ;)

The Pulse adds heavy duty pliers , locks and comfy handles
in an upgraded PSTii while fixing all the gripes about the PST
& PSTii.:)

Give it a look, mate:D :D

Well the ONLY problem with the Pulse is the SCISSORS, they made them so much smaller! :(
