A missionary couple, Jerry and Sue, that are friends of the family visited us today. They have been doing missionary work in Papua New Guinea for a number of years and the husband, Jerry, brought his Leatherman PST(vintage 2001) for me to sharpen it. Being the knife nut I am, I dropped everything and began to sharpen, clean, and oil this testimony to American workmanship. http://www.flickr.com/photos/47188396@N06/sets/72157625144355624/
All the tools still lock up solid, the very tip of one of the jaws broke off, same for the reamer, and the sheath has been rendered useless. There is slight play in the plier jaws, and there are some rust spots here and there, but there's no doubt in my mind it will serve both him and his wife for many more years to come. Thanks for looking.
