I just saw those a couple days ago. Pretty cool. I'm glad they're starting to put some different stuff out.

Agreed. I like the looks of their new products besides MT's, like this or the Z- Rex

Wow, look at all the places for blood, guts, gunk, and crap to hide.

I've never needed a seatbelt cutter, a ruler, or anything else on my shears. And for the love of Pete! Who needs folding shears!?! When I need shears, I need shears. Usually when my hands are either bloody or nasty. Regardless, I don't want to be digging in my pockets for a tool that then has to be deployed. EMT pants have shear loops for a reason. They work.

Edited to add: why does a person need a seatbelt cutter on a pair of shears? If you have the shears in your hand, cut the flipping seatbelt!

As a gear junkie play thing, they are great. As real shears, I'll take my plain shears, thank you.

** Disclaimer: I've been up for 22 hours, running calls for 21 of them. I'm getting a little (lot) cranky.

This is goofy looking... I don't know how this is convenient over a standard multi-tool and a pair of scissors.

Delayed to June 2013 now.

+1 to this. Shears are so useful precisely because of their simplicity.
