This is a question that has prolly been done to death, but i'm wondering if Leatherman offers a refurb service for their old tools.I have one that says pocket survival tool on the side.I'm thinking it is one of the first models? But it needs a couple drivers and maybe a blade.Oh,and hello everybody,This is a way cool section of the forum i finally stumbled into.

On april 8 I sent 2 PST's to Leatherman for warranty services, on April 22 I received two BLAST'S with a letter telling me that they replace the PST with the Blast so I doubt the will fix yours I think they will replace the tool.

Thanks for the info!Doesn't sound like a bad deal.Be nice to keep my oldie tho.

Email Leatherman and ask if they can refurb your tool, especially if it has sentimental value. It depends on how much work needs doing and whether Leatherman have any returned PST's that they can use for spares. I've heard of Leatherman offering some users the option of a refurb from returned tools or replacement with a new current model.

Well,My old beater left Tx. 4-29 and low and behold UPS left a little package on my door yesterday. It wasn't my original, but i think it's the nicest working tool i've ever held.Somehow it seems to function even better than a new out of the pack tool.(It had a rebuilt tag in with it.)Looks great also.It was obviously taken apart, cleaned, polished, and adjusted beautifully.Just wanted to give a positive shout out to the guys at Leatherman. They really go all out for ya in customer service.
