Leatherman sideclip why so expensive?

I realized I had lost my old leatherman sideclip. I decided to look on an auction sight to pick up another one. Wow they were asking crazy prices. I understand that they are not made anymore but don’t recall them being that great. Is this simply a case of you can’t have it so it must be had?
 
That's what I think. It seems that not many were made, and a LM collection wouldn't be complete without one. I own one for just that reason. If you're looking for a MT to use, there are better tools readily available for less money. Consider the Rebar. T-A
 
Ok thanks for confirming. I like most don’t Need another LM so might just hold off. I did like the way it rode in a pocket.
