Leatherman Squirt PS4

Looks like we'll be able to get a Squirt with both pliers and scissors pretty soon. I don't know if anyone has one yet - Amazon shows a release date of 5-15-10, and another site I checked had them listed as on backorder. Basically they've replaced the small screwdriver and the awl with a pair of scissors. Same dimensions as the P4 but .1 oz lighter in weight - 2.0 oz for the P4 and 1.9 oz for the PS4. These interest me! How about you?

I hope the scissors are as strong as the main squirt s4 scissors. that would make the tool pretty much perfect.
 
I'll be getting one. The scissor-plier comboi is nice in a multitool that size.

My guess is that they may not be as strong, since they're folded into the handle. :confused: I guess I'm looking at it as a possibility to replace a Vic Classic/Wenger Esquire, in which case the scissors should be stronger in that comparison. :D
 
The scissors look super tiny. I'm a fan of the S4 and unfortunately don't see the PS4 replacing them. I should pick up another S4 while they're still common...

That's what I'm thinking. From the pix it looks as if the PS4 scissors blades are about half the size of those on the Micra and Squirt. That, along with losing the awl and mini driver, could be the deal breaker for me. Before rushing to judgement, however, I'll need to handle one.

I'll be getting one for sure. From what I've heard form those who have handled the prototypes the scissors a perfectly capable. As already mentioned I'd also see these more as a challenge to the Vic 58mm scissors though.

For those who don't know the PS4 and the ES4 are replacing the current Squirt line, so no more P4, E4 or S4. If you want 'em got 'em now.;) If you still want bigger scissors then the Style CS and the good old Micra are your two options.:)
 
knifecenter now has the new leatherman squirt and style in stock. i'm leaning toward the style cs right now.
 
I currently have a Squirt P4 on my keys and I do miss scissors. The little screwdriver is also very useful. Don't know if I am prepared to lost the little screwdriver to gain scissors.
 
I've got a P4 and wouldn't change a thing. It's got everything I want, and scissors aren't on the list---------the small blade works just as well or better IMHO.
