Leatherman Squirt?

So I have a Wave that I keep in my truck and I have a Kick that I keep in my tackle bag. I was wondering is it worth it to invest in a Squirt for my keychain?
 
I know a lot of people carry a Juice and I would like to get one eventually but I edc the squirt and I guarantee you many people underestimates its size. The quality is there definitely and I would recommend it. I carry it in my edc rotation almost daily now, it is small, but very useful. It has succeeded where my Gerbers that were slightly bigger failed.
 
I also have full size multitools available in both vehicles and my range bags. I keep a Squirt PS4 on my keychain and still use it when the job is small and the full size multi is too far away. It has replaced my SAK as my pocket tool.
 
I prefer the Micra, especially for EDC and I have a full sized Leatherman within walking distance.

I use the Squirt for bacpacking for super light pliers. But the flatter profile and better tool selection / lay out of the Micra wins it for me
 
Check out the Wingman. Not small by any means, but it has a pocket clip and is very comfortable to carry clipped to the pocket IMO. I carry it in my right pocket(I'm left handed) when I'm working around the house or when I think it may come in handy. It may be too big for some to EDC, but I'm used to carrying an Adamas so size and weight aren't much of an issue to me.
 
I'm a big fan of the Leatherman Squirt. For me, its a little bit big for the keychain, but I often keep one in the pocket. But it may be unsurpassed in its utility to weight ratio, as there are so many useful tools crammed into such a small space. Its not the right tool for big jobs - not even close - but for the little EDC tasks of cutting, turning, grabbing, prying, bending, filing, etc., its pretty darn useful.

I always have a Squirt Ps4 with me. Keep it in my watch pocket in jeans or regular pocket in other pants. I don't like a lot of stuff on my key ring. The squirt complements whatever other knife I am carrying, usually a slipjoint or SAK electrician. It is an extremely handy and efficient tool for its size.
 
I'm having trouble deciding between the PS4 for the pliers, and the ES4 for the electrical strippers.
 
PS4 is an excellent multitool for edc. It supplements a lockblade folder and has the tools I need for 99% of average daily uses. I have a Juice and a Wave but the PS4 is carried 10 times more often.
 
I carry a p4 in my coin pocket all the time. Even in my "skinny" jeans I can't tell it's there. I tried a Gerber dime for a couple weeks is about the same size but quite a bit thicker making more difficult to get my hand in my pocket. Switched back to the p4. It's a good little tool. Nice little pliers.
 
I carry a Sog Crosscut. No pliers but it's always with me. I no longer carry a dedicated knife after 50 years.
 
I have carried the Squirt PS for years. I used to have two so that if i misplaced one, I wouldn't have to go without. I have since misplaced my original Squirt PS which was the old one without the scissors and had another slim flat screwdriver and an awl. I miss that awl tremendously, and have considered grinding the scissors into an awl, but the arm isn't quite the right shape to be reprofiled.

Charlie K, I'd get the PS for the pliers. you can strip wire with the knife if you have to, and if you're stripping enough wire for that to be a real pain, you should probably have real wire strippers on you anyway.

The Squirt is rarely the right tool for anything, but it's a good enough tool for so many things, and fits in your pocket. Squirt FTW.
 
I received A Squirt PS4 in the PIF from ALLHSS and man I knew it was tiny but I forgot just how small it really is. Its stayed in my pocket ever since. The scissors are great for its size and really it has most of the tools you'd actually use on a daily basis. I love my Leatherman Wave but unless I decide to carry it on my belt or I'm wearing "Tactical" pants its really too heavy to just throw in my pocket. I use it plenty but I'm normally at my desk. When it comes to the Squirt, its like they say about guns. The best one is the one you have on you.
