I picked up a ST200 last night and was curious about the locking mechanism on the tool blades. One of the lock releases had some very slight play, are they supposed to give a little when not in the locked position? As I locked/unlocked the blades some more, it seemed that the lock releases have the same slight play on both sides now. Is this normal?

BTW, the tool blades do lockup great and unlock with no problem whatsoever.

Any info is appreciated, thanks. :D

I have a pulse that uses the same mechanism. Mine also has a little play. I believe that is normal and doesn't affect lockup of the tools.

Same with my ST200. They are supposed to be a bit loose.

I use my ST200 practically everyday for work. I love it. I think you got one of the best multi-tools out there.

It's a good one. Don't be afraid to beat on it.

Thanks for the replies. I had a feeling that those tabs were supposed to be a little loose. ;)
