I recently got a Leatherman supertool 300 and am in love with it, Honestly impressed by the knife. Although recently I found a problem with mine

When the pliers are closed the knife is rubbing against the main blade. You can see were the Pliers and the knife hit each other. This is a minor defect that won't effect the usefullness of the tool, but i was wondering if anyone has the same problem with there supertool?
Thanks, I will post pictures

Leathermans are very tight at first, then they loosen up with use, put some WD-40 on that area and open and close, a few times and it may loosen up enough not to rub that area.

I don't really see that as a prob, but I get where you are coming from. Though I like them a lot, Leatherman tools are just not designed and manufactured with the precision you will see in a Victorinox Swisstool or Spirit (which also cost 2x or 3x as much). They can be stiff, loose, rattly and rubby, but that's more an an aesthetic thing than a functional thing.

I've noticed with use it is getting looser. Hopefully enought to stop rubbing. I will also try WD-40 or my other knife oil to see if that works.
Thanks

I have two Super Tool 300s, both in perfect fit out of the package. They were "Leatherman stiff" at first, but after a few workouts they settled in nicely. Although the knife blades and pliers jaws occupy tight spaces when together, there was never any contact in either of mine, and I don't think that should be the case for yours. If by now the issue has not resolved itself, I'm sure Leatherman warranty would correct the problem. Meanwhile, I doubt any real damage is being done to the tool in its present condition.

Over quite a few years I have had a fair number of Leathermen in and out of my hands, but new out of the package, only one had to go to warranty for adjustment, a minor one at that. Either I have been very lucky, or other owners have not. While I greatly respect and admire Victorinox design and execution, after trial periods with a Swiss Tool and a Spirit, I went back to Leatherman. Functionally, they work better for me, and none are stiff, loose, rattly or rubby (except for the diamond file on my Charge TTi, but don't they all?) :D

Both of my super tool's have done this, about a month ago i snapped one of the jaws off while at work, and it was sent in and replaced without question. Although it takes a while to get back from leatherman, their warranty service is outstanding.
