leatherman surge locks

Hey guys, quick question for anybody who owns a surge. The side with the mini screwdriver, flathead and awl, does the lock seem lighter than the side with the bit driver and can opener? (spring tension wise) Could this be because the side which i'm saying has a lighter tension has not as deep cut outs for the lock to fall into? It doesn't seem any weaker, just takes less pressure than the bit driver wise, which to my eyes also looks like it has deeper grooves for the lock.

My locks feel a bit different on one side too.
I'm not worried about it. They lock equally well on both sides, the only time they feel different is when all of the tools are retracted into the handles.
