Have any of you found a way to make a scraper for the Surge? I could put a bevel on the end of the large screwdriver, but I like that for prying. Maybe there is something that will fit in the file/saw spot? I’d appreciate any ideas you have.

I'd buy a fresh saw/file kit and see what worked out on the grinder. Its the lowest bar for entry and lowest consequence of screw-ups. If you had steel that you could harden, or knew someone who could, the profile of the socket would be easy to match with something to work with (heck, someone really good with a TIG could even stick something onto the end of a broken file socket)
I did something similar with my SOG tool since they have replaceable tools all around. I bought a few of the tools that looked promising for what I wanted, did some sharpy marks and then hit the grinder.
Also, with the Surge that means if you do need to send it in for warranty, you can just keep your customized component, and use it on the next one. Otherwise you'll need to remember what exactly you did to the other component.

Thanks for that, I can do the file or saw, but not weld. Those seem like good options.
