Excuse me if there is a dedicated forum for "hot deals" here, but I looked and didn't see it, so thought it could go in here. If you move it, I'll get it in the right place next time. :o

Diecast Collectibles Plus (Yahoo storefront) has the Leatherman Universal Tool Adapter at $14.95 shipped free via USPS Priority Mail. This is the one that fits the newer generation LM tools. I almost bought the older model of but it looked like it doesn't fit my Charge. This one is supposed to.

Lowest on Pricegrabber was $25.89 shipped at Amazon.

I ordered (2) of them. I MIGHT give my brother one. Please don't blame me if you don't get yours, because I haven't got mine yet either. I have no experience with this online store.

Enjoy!

I don't really know. Just a different fit in the plier jaws I think. I noticed the sale listings talk about compatibility with the the older or newer generations of the LM tools. Maybe they are the same. ?

I'd like to find the perfect standard 1/4" drive that fits the charge now. I won't be wanting to carry this tool adapter with me all the time I'm sure. Something only as long as needed, maybe magnetized, to hold standard 1/4" bits. It'd be even cooler to have a ratcheting drive. Might be tough to make something small, yet ratcheting, but something's gotta be out there small enough to fit in the sheath. Anyone seen anything like that?

Comparing my 1998 version tool adapter to the one pictured, the earlier one looks similar, but there are some differences. Originally, I used it on a Super Tool, ST200 and a PST, both of which it fitted snugly. Just now I tried it with a Core and Swisstool. It kind of fits the Core, but a little sloppy, and not at all well on a Swisstool. It could be used on current Leathermen, I suppose, but is obviously not the proper design for them and certainly not "universal."
