I got my original Wave back from LM warranty and they did an awesome job. 10 day turnaround to boot. The pliers jaws were sprung after trying to cut some hard wire so that they wouldn’t close leaving them about 3/16 inch gapped open. Leatherman warranty replaced /upgraded the regular jaws with the Wave + jaws . Replaced the slightly worn file with a new file and maybe some other tools. It is like brand new now. Great job Leatherman warranty !!!

I met a guy the other day that said he always has a leatherman sent out to leatherman for repairs. I carry one every day so I asked what model he has. He has 2 supertool 300s. He uses them negligently doing stupid stuff, he uses the flat screwdriver as his dedicated prybar etc. Basically intentionally breaking them. And has them rotating. Ones always in the mail and ones in his pocket. He said leatherman doesn't blink, they always replace what's broke and sends it back.

That's the stupid kind of crap that makes everybody else pay more.

Leatherman should school him on the difference between "abuse" and "use".

I have had good experiences with Leatherman's warranty service. They have replaced a few tools of mine-no questions asked.

I just wish their quality was better so that I didn't have to use it as much!

Never had a Victorinox multi-tool needing warranty!

2025 they’re still doing great warranty work.

I recently found my skeletool cx. It had been missing for a number of years. Turns out it got borrowed unbeknownst to me by my brother. When I found it I saw the blade was chipped wire cutters were messed up, the screwdriver bits were rusty etc…sent it back to Leatherman and they put a new blade on, new plier jaws and bits. It got the spa treatment as well, good as new. Undecided if I just let him keep it or buy him a wave for his birthday in a few months. Either way great work by Leatherman.
