Over on the Equipped web site, new user started a thread about adding an awl to his Leatherman Wave. See here. I was wanting to do this for some time, but hadn't thunk of which screwdriver to sacrifice to the Baldor.

Anyway, thought I'd pass along my awl mod for my Wave. (Just lookin' for my 15 minutes of BF fame. :D)

Hmmm, now what's next? I've got a friend who does laser etching, maybe a ruler......?

Interesting idea. I wouldn't mind having that instead of the sissors on my Wave. Personally I think the sissors are useless. I used every tool on it but that one.

Nice work....what is the awl mainly used for? Thanks.

For my purpose, my daughter rides horses and I was actually needing something last weekend to punch some holes in some leather. I thought this would be ideal.

But you can use an awl for boring out small holes, improvised sewing, hole punching,....
