Leatherman Wave bit extender problem,

Hi everyone,

I have a bit extender that I use with my leatherman wave. Today I was fixing something and put a bit in the extender and now for the life of me I can't get it out. I have tried vice grips, vice, brute force but to no avail. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? FYI this was not a leatherman bit I put in it.

I had that happen to me. I VERY gently tapped it downward with a hammer and pulled it out with the pliers on my Wave. I think it is the spring in the female end that is the problem.
