So i bought an al and it felt so bad in my hand and the blade had a wiggle so i took it back waited a day and bought a wave i played with it yet finding another dsefect. i am going to go purchase another wave after returning the first one. has any one had the same problem. or is leatherman just crapping out latley.

They have great customer service , sometimes their QC isn't perfect . Still a good company . The best QC in the industry , would be Victorinox .

The only problem I have with my Wave is that the tiny screw driver is broken. It is replaceable, but I wished it was a bit stronger. Apart from that it is a good tool IMO.

I've never had a problem with a Leatherman product (that I didnt actually cause myself). I've sent 2 leatherman waves back to the factory (both with broken screwdrivers from prying) Both were replaced with a brand new LM....

well i just purchased my third leatherman and it is still faulty i think its normal though for the to extra components have a little bit of wiggle i dont know if this is true any feed back they seem to do it on both sides of tool so i dont think its a defect. oh yea and by extra components i mean the small tools on the bottom. sizzors screw drivers etc all of them seem to do it

on the other hand is small amount of wiggle normal for most mt's

It seems unlikely that you would get 3 in a row with the same defect. I'm just guessing that any wiggle you are seeing is within the range of normal. JMO.

i guess its true but the first defect was in the main blade it had a microscopic wiggle the second one was slightly defective something to do with the lanyard hole and the new one wich i purchased today has a small wiggle that does not affect the functionality but does annoy me and may become a problem in the future but as i said they all wiggle except for the larger components like the file saw blade ect but the wiggle is not visible just annoying and you have to apply more than light pressure to make it wiggle is it worth sending it back to the company or should i sit on it and see if it becomes a future problem. by the way i just found out that canadian tire sells sog thats a suprise i saw a fielder and a exchange seal blade
