Leatherman wave pliers

How the heck do I close the pliers on my new leatherman wave (!!!!) Just reeceived it, opened it and now cannot close it. Help !!:foot:

They're stiff at first. Work it a little and it'll smooth out.

Huh? I was always under the impression that the British are a nation of, if anything, excessive common sense.

Personally, I never touch the stuff.

On topic though, I think all of the newer LM's have this characteristic. It takes a while before they become easier to close. And then there's the inevitable flathead screwdriver, awl, can/bottle opener, etc. that gets in the way every once in a while.

I usually put Break Free CLP all over the pliers pivot point and work it back and forth for a few minutes. That seems too loosen them up.
