Howdy folks.
I bought a Leatherman Wave a week or so back.
I love it.
But I have one....."issue".
One of the handles is looser than the other one.
I don't mean like a balisong kinda loose, but it is pretty noticeable.
Is this a normal thing for Waves? Or should I try to find a security Torx and try to fix it.
Thanks in advance.

On my wave the PE blade is much more difficult to open than the serrated one. Both are very secure and would never actually come out on their own. If you can shake the blade out I would say something needs to be done.

Get a security torx so you can adjust the handles to your liking.

I do not believe he is referring to the tension on the blade, but rather the handle when opening/closing the tool to access the pliers.

To answer the OP's question, While not "normal" I would say it is not a "issue" I would say. If it bugs you then get two security torx to tighten it up. The handles loosen up over time, but it just seems one side of yours was not tightened as much as the other side from the factory or is loosening much quicker. Either way I like to have tools/bits to accommodate my multitools anyways so its a win, win if you get the security torx. Just as a side note I had a Wave that I could flip open like a balisong and I actually liked it that way since it was sheath carried only so it did not really matter to me.

Well I tried to tighten it and the handle stayed the same while the blades and saw tightened, so I brought it back to the way it was. I guess I'll have to live with it.

Well that's kind of a bummer, but it could be worse. At least you have the bits now to keep the blades and tools at your desired tightness.

Far as I remember it's done on purpose so that one side will always open first, making it easier to deploy it than equally strong tension on both sides. But I could be wrong.
