Hi, i have a leatherman wave coming soon, and was wondering if i could swap the file and the plain blade, and the saw with the serrated blade to make it a lefty friendly multi tool, i emailed and called leatherman and got not much of an answer, so i thought i would ask here. i know that taking apart the multi tool will void the warrenty, so i guess im asking "is it worth voiding the warrenty? "
"is it actually gonna work"
"should i just suck it up. "

thanks

it might work. it's easy to take apart and try it out. tho you might have to make another detent hole on the other side so it will stay shut.

Aside from the detent hole I don't think the blades will lock properly since the bottom of the blade locking surface is curved one way for the liner lock. Swapping the blade to the other side would probably have up and down movement or worse not allow the liner lock to engage at all.
I'm a lefty too, you can open the plain and serrated blade with your left hand just put your middle fingernail in the opening hole and flick it forward/up. Close it pressing the liner lock with your middle finger and use your index finger to press the spine of the blade down.
