I have just bought a Wave with a leather sheath , and am impressed.

Yes the opening of everything is hard , but it is getting better.

The 2 blades were rough ground , with wire edges on both.
A few minutes on the Sharpmaker solved the issue.

I have been lurking on this site and others about what to get for a multi.
I have a Chinese made supermarket tool in the car , and a Lidl multi in my garage/workshop.
So many forum users have a Leatherman, and I decided on a Wave.

I have not used it in anger yet , but playing with it every day , and using 3 in 1 oil to loosen it up are working in getting is smooth.

I did not consider other makes after reading the 25 year after sales guarantee made my Leatherman the one to buy.

I look forward to enjoying my tool for a long time.

Congrats on your new Wave! You have a quality tool there. Leatherman is good on their warranty as well. I hope you enjoy using yours. I have carried a Wave for the past 13 years.

You picked the right tool to buy for sure. The Wave is probably the best tool out there for the money. Just beware! Collecting multi tools is addicting and gets expensive! Enjoy your new Wave!

Owned and used mine for 13 years as well. Still looks and works like new!

Thank you for all your kind wishes.
I look forward to the summertime and using my Wave multitool in the house and garden.
Weather here in France is WET and 12'C, but it is getting better for Easter (Paques)
