so i got a leatherman wave a couple weeks ago and i think it is a very nice tool. it isnt too hard to pull the tools out, and it feels very high quality. but, when opening the outside blades, it usually turns the big pivot bolts, either loosening or tightening them making it really easy or too hard to open the blades. if you can understand what i am saying, does anyone else have this problem? how could i fix it? i dropped some 3in1 oil in the pivot areas

Turns the "big pivot bolts?" The pivot bolts shouldn't turn at all. They should remain in place with the frame. It's nornal for the blades to be a bit stiff so they don't come out when you don't want them to. Maybe loctite the pivot bolts and oil the blades a little? Not sure I understand your problem.

Send it in to Leatherman with a description of the problem. If I understand you, it shouldn't do that, and Leatherman will fix it for free. Their warranty service is outstanding. (Voice of experience.)

mines doing the same thing with the blades. The serrated blade is lightning fast to open, but the plain edge almost takes two hands to open.
Other than that, i love mine.
