Does anyone know of a wrench or bit that would allow me to remove the screws on a SuperTool 200? I want to replace the Philips screwdriver in my 200 with the one from my original supertool. This is my biggest pet peave with my 200. The driver on my original supertool works on screws several sizes smaller. I have been able to dissasemble my original with no problems now and in the past for cleaning, but the 200 doesnt seem to want to give. If anyone out there has any idea where to get such a tool, it would be greatly appreciated.

.......................so .. how did you get the original apart? Have you tried applying heat to the bolts that wont budge?

I just used two sets of pliers.... Ive done it several times for cleaning, but it never gave me as much trouble as the 200. I think they use Loc-Tite now. I havent tried heat, but I may have to give it a go.

Well loctite 262 (red) must have heat applied in order to budge it. Of course they could use a different threadlocker, but it's worth a try...

Let us know if you get it loose.

I already have a set of those... no authorization needed. $8 on ebay. The 200 doesnt use those those though. It uses what I can only describe as knarled screws. Ill try the heat method.

I realized that after I posted. :o Vise grips + heat then. If that doesn't work...

Ok... I did it, I managed to pry it loose without heat thanks to the the fine teeth on one of my smaller pair of craftsman pliers. It was Loctite Red...tough little bugger. I switched the screwdrivers, and I noticed that they have a different letter designation. The one on my older ST was letterd D, and the 200 was E. I am happy with the switch as this was my biggest pet peave with the 200. With 3 kids aged 10yrs, 3yrs and 6 months My ST us used nearly on a daily basis on everyhting for battery swaps, to bicycles. Being able to remove smaller screws is more of a necessity to me that the larger ones....even though I cant remember not being able to turn larger screws with my original ST's screwdriver. Anyway, problem solved.
