Well I broke the needle nose plier tip from my leatherman Xti by using them as tongs while beating out a dent in an AK47 receiver with a sledge hammer and sent it off to Leatherman who quickly replaced the broken tip and several of the blades and got it back to me in 2 weeks!

I am so satisfied with the way they handled this that I may have to buy another
one to create a hybrid Yti(Xti with Scissors).

but.....

When they put it back together they used 5 different types of screws instead of the screws that were originally in it!!

High polish, bead blasted, domed, beveled 5 lobe and 6 lobe screws all on the same tool!!There are not two screws on my tool that match now!!

I was wondering if anyone knew the stock size, thread and dimensions on the screws in a Charge Tool so that I could just remove these and get some matching screws that use a single type of fastener?

I will probably switch to standard button head cap screws so that I can get it apart with my bit kit in the field if needed.

I do not know the thread size, because I have not gotten mine apart yet. Where can I get the torx bit with a hole in it for the security screws?

Depends on if yours has the 5 point or the 6 point. You can get the 6 point from Snap-On tools but the 5 lobe you'll have to get from Wiha or some such place and they won't want to sell them to just some regular guy.I have a machineshop so I can get them without undue BS.

The shipping costs more than the part:jerkit:

Can you sell me a 5 lobe? I have been looking for one because I have a few of the old LM's that need tightening or adjustments.
