Leatherman???

Without question the Supertool is one of , if not,THE very best multi tool avialble today bar
none. A quick search will show you that many have
favorites but among those who actually USE their
tool the Supertool is the first choice tool for
them.

I got to play with one the other day. It's definitely sturdy. Nice selection of tools. I have the original supertool, and the supertool 200 is probably a bit thicker overall. I like the little unlocking levers on the handle--definitely easier than having to open another tool to unlock it. I may pick one up eventually, but my supertool has a lot of use left in it.

I've had the original, the Supertool, and the Wave, the Supertool is the best, it's what I use everyday.

I've had most, if not all, of the quality multi-tools out and I have only kept three. Two Victorinox Swisstools and the Supertool 200.

In my opinion the Swisstools are the best with the Supertool 200 coming second.

There are numerous factors as to why I think the Swisstool is better, but there are a lot of reasons that the 200 is a strong choice.

You can't go wrong with the 200 but of possible try to hold both at the same time and compare them, the differences are fairly obvious once in hand.

hehehehehe actualy I own a Swisstool! I love it! it's just that I consider to buy to put it in my bugout bag :D So I want to try something different. But you're right, the swisstool is great! specialy their new "rescue model"

Then get the ST 200 for sure. It compares favorably to the the Swistool, has sharper needle nose pliers (neither a positive or a negative, depends on the job) and a better phillips screw driver.

I have the old style super tool. I've been using it at work every day for five years. No problems at all.

I have the old style Supertool and love it. I have used it for quite a while with no problems, other than the knife blade cutting the **** out of me a while back while doing something stupid. I looked at the Supertool 200, but it's a bit thicker, and didn't have many advantages over the older model. I recently downsized to one of the LM Juice models for a smaller EDC, but when I anticipate work, the Supertool is the one that rides along.

Give the Sog PowerLock a shot.
It might be odd, but it's surely powerful enough to cut through wire coathangers (had to takeoff a scaffold with those helping to hold the thing together, and it cut them off in a snap).

The ST200 is definitley the beefiest LM by far. The new design with the rounded handles makes them MUCH more comfy to use when gripping hard. I like the ST200 better than the SOG Powerlock.

I just purchased a ST200 today. I already have the PST, and decided for my full sized multi I would get the ST200. It is beefy, but feels great in the hand. I like the positive locking of the tools. Overall I think it is great.

Oli, since you already have a heavy duty multitool in the Swisstool, think about a Leatherman Pulse for daily use. Check out Leatherman's Tool Comparison page at http://www.leatherman.com/products/tool-comparison/default.asp

Drag-and-drop the Supertool 200 and the Pulse and see, they have practically the same blades but the Pulse has scissors and one plain edge knife blade instead of the Supertool's saw and awl and two blades.

The Pulse is 4" and 6 oz. to the Supertool's 4.5" and 9 oz. The Pulse is also narrower overall but built just as solidly. It is a much more comfortable size for EDC.

Benyamin, once again, thanks for your great help! the only thing that made me doubt about the Super Tool 2000 was I like scisors on a multitool! The pulse will be my choice to back-up my Swisstool! :D

Also have ST200 & ST original. Must say I still prefer the original as part of my EDC. Not to fond of the new lock mechanism. I guess I like things simple, less to go wrong. Also carry Crunch as part of EDC. Feels strong and sturdy in hand and love the vise grip. The locking mechanism on the Crunch is also great. Wonder why they didn't incorporate it in the other tools.

Have the old Leatherman Supertool, never a problem, but the Leatherman Wave is the best, have carried it for years and never a problem. Tried all others and keep going back to the Wave.
