Leathermans on KC are marked as "This item is unavailable for export."

Actually I saw this limitation while looking at Leatherman OHT and thought "gush, they are probably so tactical that government supervises their export...".

But now I realize that most of the models are limited to US.

Why is that? Maybe there are lowly variants from Mexico for outside world?

could be that they get tagged off at customs, so they just decided to stop shipping them?

Maybe it's because Leatherman has retailers in a bunch of countries, so there is no use for KC exporting them???

I don't see another logical explanation. I've a Fuse that I bought in Mexico (from an authorized retailer) and and older one that I bought in the States, they're exactly the same tool with the same markings and everything (huge pirce difference, though). However the one I bought in Mexico came in a cardboard box, while my first one was clam packaged.
