Moderators please move this if it is not in the correct place for this thread, but since a bunch of Kershaw traffic is run through General, I'll post here.

I felt that it was necessary to make a short announcement concerning my
leave of absence from BF's. It may in fact be permanent, time will
tell.

Without getting into any specific details, I'll just say that my
work is intruding on the fun that I have on Blade Forums, and so is my
being on the defensive, rather than my being able to share Kershaw knife knowledge.

Thought you all should hear it from me, rather than notice that I
just no longer post.

Thanks to Spark for letting me share my Kershaw propaganda, I wish him
and BF's the very best. Also thanks to all you Kershaw supporters and
general knife nuts, you do make our world go round for sure.

Be safe all

Sorry to hear that. I think is important for manu. Reps to be part of this forum. Your defense of Kershaw for me was 1 of the things that had me buy my first Kershaw knife. Most makers ignore the complaints of customers. Kershaw should be proud of you Thomas. You are a stand up guy.

We were all looking forward to a Kershaw section in the Manufactor's section with you as the STAR !! I am very sad to hear you will not post here, as I own about 35 Kershaw knives and always welcomed your input, and quick response to the members....Please try to work out something that will allow you to return as you have well represented Kershaw knives by your presence on this site !!

Thomas,

Hopefully you'll reconsider. I've made several purchases of Kershaw products because of valuable information I got from you.

I always found your posts to be a contribution rather than just defending Kershaw.

But I can see your point about it becoming more work than recreation.

Well in any event best of luck with whatever you decide and thanks for all the help in the past.

Joe

Sorry to hear that Thomas, you are a valuble resorce to everyone who frequents the forums.

This is not good.

Aside from being our only real link to Kershaw information, you also were extremely helpful with info regarding older Kershaw models and info. Is there a possible alternative route that will let you stay on BF without sacrificing your efforts on the job? I'm sure you are doing what you can.

If you feel like you are on the defensive, are you referring to complaints or fielding questions and requests? I've enjoyed your efforts and posts and wish you the best either way.

...was it something we said?

Anyway, thanks for the help and info and all the best to you.
You rep a great product.

I agree with the above posts.... Thomas, we truly enjoy the interaction with you, all the insider info and what not... I'll surely miss your post on new stuff and such. If you find the time and inclination in the future, I hope you come back here for more knifenut chat.

I thought things were just starting to look good, really good. How will forum collaborations happen now? We’ll all miss you for sure.

Yes!

Maybe not you specifically rifon2, but we should have all said Thank You a lot more than we did. We were spoiled with Thomas attending to our complaints that should have gone to the Kershaw Customer Service dept.

Thomas is another blessed individual that really loves the company he works for and believes in what he is doing. I am in sales, and I can only imagine if my customers had a forum where they could go and critique my products/services:eek: . Thomas would answer a lot of questions/posts after hours and on weekends, even on Vacation; he never got a break!

I always got the feeling that Kershaw had a good Positive Fan following here. Someone with something bad to say is always going to have more motivation to track down a place to bitch, but us Kershaw Lovers were always there to set the matter straight.;)

I will really miss his voice in this forum and hope he knows there are more Kershaw lovers than haters, largely due to Thomas!

We can all show support by buying the knives and posting Positive info as well as gripes.

It's a shame. Your presence wil be missed. Have you given thought to designating someone to fill in for you here. I know for a fact that you helped sales. I personally bought several I otherwise wouldn't have even heard of if it wasn''t for your presence here. Good luck in the future. Joe L.

This cannot be considered anything but Bad News. Any time we lose a contributing member it lessens this forum, and losing a customer rep. for a major knife company is a real blow.

I'm sorry to see you leave, Thomas, but understand the reasons behind it. Thanks for the time and effort you have put in, and best of luck to you and Kershaw.

Thomas,

You have always handled yourself well here. Many times in the heat of ignorance by others. You will be missed and Kershaw has much to be proud of if you are an example of the type of people that represent them.

bummer-i thought it was my comments about the zdp butterknife-err leek i bought-

its a shame he wont be around, guy was very informative and the way he pushed the zdp butter knifes-err leeks out for us was just plain sweet and amazing-

thomas im just busting chops-you guys make a great product at a good price,
you listened too much to some people(know it alls) and let it get you flustered-

have a few brews while on vaca and take a stroll back by bf after you decompress

I always enjoy Thomas' posts--I must have missed whatever the issue is. I hope you continue to hang around here in any capacity that you can.

I appreciate your efforts and information Thomas. I have long been a Kershaw fan and customer, and you only solidified my opinions about Kershaw and Kai Inc.

Hopefully you will have an avenue to reach us, but either way, I hope to keep helping pay your salary.

Thanks again, and good luck to you sir...you are both a credit to the community as well as your employer. A true rarity.
