Leaving for MWTC soon....

Im leaving for Mtn Leaders course at the Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, Ca soon. I havent been issued a knife so all I have is my Spyderco Endura 4. I would like to buy a semi-nice fixed blade thats 5 to 7 inches in length and no more than $50. It'll be used for food prep, bushwork, skinning animals, hacking and chopping. Ive looked at the CRKT M60 and Ultima, Sog Seal Pup, but are there any others out there Im missing?
 
Mora makes a decent knife for around $20. Mora 860 Clipper, they use the Sandvik stainless steel.
 
Ka-bar..... was there really any question :)
