for a quick overnighter. im takin a buddy of mine out to merchants millpond state park in NC. should be fun its supposed to rain and its going to be our first outing with the becker family! i will be sure to take a crap ton of pics for you guys.

got back this mornin, it rained a bit, mostly last night here are the results. oh you have to kayak out in the swamp to reach your campground..... very nice.

well it was fun even the rain had a great time we left early due to thunderstorms rolling in

WOW! how did you do that?

I keep trying to take pics of myself taking a pic but it just don't work....
 
hah wow man that looks like an amazing location and those are some great photos! I loved the long log baton shots. can we get some closeups of your remora wrap job? nice work!
 
its my buddies basicly it is standard wrap and pulled under and burnt nothing fancy, but very effective i loved that knife i gotta get one

That looks like a lot of fun Tyler! Kayaking in to a secluded spot sounds so neat.

I think that's the biggest log I have ever seen battoned in half like that. Crazy

ya man i was pretty upset, last time we went they didnt have the table or the fire pit, but oh well i guess you have to make it "more comfortable" for everyone.

and Mauser, i hate that log. i didnt realize it had such a twisting grain till i was half way through it (hince the pics) it was dark and it took me around 5 mins just to get through it, but you know what they say, NEVER deny the 9 a meal NEVER!!!
