Leaving the Exchange, Please Downgrade Membership

Good evening all,

I'm leaving the exchange for a while, possibly permanently (remains to be seen).
I've closed all posts and all previous transactions have completed.
My membership was good through April, so please downgrade my membership back to the free version and issue a pro-rated refund of $45.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.
 
Unfortunate and rather sad that trolls just hop in here to drop laughing emojis. "Haha! You need to take a break from the EDC community! Haha! You want a couple bucks back for the unused portion of your membership?! Haha!" I mean, really? IF I felt the need to peep on a thread that a pretty active member was leaving (which I probably wouldn't to begin with), the only response I would have would be "was glad to have you. Be well, and hope to see you back soon."

Actually, the laugh emojis are due to your petulant expectation of being reimbursed for your membership fee, when that has never been something that was offered. You come off as exceptionally entitled and arrogant. "Whelp, I've sold all my knives, so I'd like my money back now." That's not how it works. You paid to support Bladeforums' continuining operations, not just so you could sell knives. I've been a paying member of this site for many years more than you, and it would never cross my mind to demand a refund. Embarrassing, really.

He apparently doesn't understand that "selling" is simply a perk of gold membership...not its basis.

The membership supports the site, and confers certain additional benefits to those who elect to support the site via that membership.

Clearly, supporting the site was not his primary focus...and the member apparently feels that the 200+ Exchange transactions weren't sufficiently lucrative to offset the financial burden of membership.

Interesting. It would never cross my mind to go out of my way to troll someone else. Justifying being a troll doesn't change the fact that you poked your nose into this situation uninvited and unneeded so you could give me crap for a REQUEST (not a demand) that isn't exactly world-breaking. I've been in customer service a long time, and said exactly how I would handle this situation. "Sure, here's your $45. We'll miss you and be happy to have you back."

But, hey, I certainly hope you get the kind of experience you expect from places. "F-off you petulant child" seems to be what you want. That being the case... Ignore button pressed.
