Pity. As far as custom hatchets I think he's the best there is. Best weight to chopping ratio. Best ergonomics on the handles. By a large margin the edges he puts on his hatchets are finer and chop deeper than any other maker I've handled.

I have one his Nessmuks I bought 10 years ago and it has gone with me many times into the woods and always been great. The smaller belt hatchet I don't own but have handled and really there's nothing in it's size range as good.
 
Now that's bad timing (for me.) I was just looking for a Reeves Nessmuk yesterday after spending too many years "thinking about it."
