Leech Lake Knife

I have done probally 300+ fish with mine. Awesome blade. When you make your initial cut under the small fin behind the gill, use the back side of the blade. That is a tough area and it saves the main edge. I love the knife! The pairing knife he sells is also an awesome bir&trout knife. I field dress all my deer with one for 4 years now.

Very interesting filet design. Anyone know what type of steel he's using and a ballpark price for a filet knives? The steel description on his site is a little vague. (see below)

The blade is made from specially designed high carbon/semi-stainless alloy steel. The steel is then hardened and tempered to Don’s specifications. Each blade is signed and dated as well as marked with an “SS” that signifies Don Canney’s “Super Steel”.
