Hi all!

Iam thinking my January's knife purchase and I'¨ve limited it to two Kershaw's A/O knives:

Leek Black DLC coating 1660 CKT and Kersahw Ken Onion Centofante aluminium 1610

Does anyone hav experience of Kershaw's Centofante. Its wharncliffe and handle seems to better shaped and I love Wharncliffe blades. I know leek is very liked and both are sub $50 knives.

DLC coated leek would be more corrosion resistant though but I would like to have input of these knives bit more.

Centofante:
Blade Length: 2 1/4 in.
Overall Length: 5 3/8 in.
Weight: 1.6 oz.
Steel: Sandvik 13C26 Stainless-steel
Handle: 6061-T6 Anodized Aluminum

Leek:
Blade Length: 3 in.
Overall Length: 7 in.
Weight: 3.1 oz.
Steel: Sandvik 13C26 Stainless-steel
Handle: 410 Stainless-steel w/ Tungsten DLC Coating

I am looking nice and cabaple EDC knife for light cutting (paper, boxes sech ) and maybe bit food preparation.

I own both, and for what your use will be I'd go with the Leek. Slightly longer blade might help in the kitchen, and I find the CKT scales to be a little more grippy than the anodized aluminum. The Onion/Centofante is more of a dress knife IMHO.

Thanks a lot SPXTrader. Do you know where I could get the CKT scales? That's first time I've heard of such things. You can PM me information.

You posted it. :D
"Leek Black DLC coating 1660 CKT"

The CKT is the part number designation for Black DLC. ;)

I have both a Centofante and a Leek. The big difference is in the size of the two. Hope these help side by side. The one thing the "safety" on the Centofante is a little awkward to access next to the clip which is the only position available. I love the Centofante but it is small.

Seems like I go for leek first and then Centofante... I like them both. Thank you very much from the poctures Sithus1966

jamppa, here are a few links from the past.
It'll show you a few models of each that are/were available. Don't forget, the Centofante series is discontinued.

Leeks

Thanks again Sonny. Very nice pictures. I know Centofante are discontinued and Leeks are not. I've not yet made my mind. If I would find somewhere DLC coated Centofante or Centofante rainbow, I might buy that first. Corrosion resitance is pretty important for my carry knives, since I live by the sea (ocean is literally a good stone throw away from my house )
