Well it been a while since I could afford to get new blade. I loss my job about a way back. An I had got so low I had to take a large number of my kershaw collection to the pawn shop. Only getting about what I had pay for one of the knives in the load. But I found new job and with hard work and lots overtime at the new job. I finally pay my bills and was able to take the chive out of my pocket. A begin to carried the 6 to 7 edc I switch between. An regain the rest of my kershaws. Now as a treat to myself I was looking at getting a leek. I have two already and one more cant hurt nothing but the wallet. But I can choose between the 1660 cb and 1660tgryst. These are going to be worker knives. I have a 1660g10 and I really don't think I have had a blade hold a better edge. But I hear the d2 tool steel is really good too.
So I ask for some advice from my kershaw elders. What would you guys do?

I like the D2 over the S30V personally. By about a 40% improvement in performance.

I love my Leek CB, it is often my EDC. However, if i was planning on doing a lot of cutting work, I would consider using a knife that had a better textured grip.

lostmex, glad things are looking up! If you're going to beat the snot out of it, I'd go with the TGRYST. If just cutting everyday stuff (boxes, plastic, rope, etc.) I'd look at the CB.

The D2 in the composite blade is CPM-D2...completely different animal than D2 tool steel, and much better IMHO!

Glad things have turned around for ya lostmex.
Honestly I can't recommend one over the other. They're both great knives.
I suggest buying the one that floats your boat first, then get the other
one latter. (You know you're going to anyway) ;)
