I've been looking around for a Leek and seen several blems listed on different websites, can anyone attest to the quality of these?

kershawguy is a good guy, and not many people can tell even find the flaws in the blems. They are good to go!

All blemishes on these are cosmetic only and do not affect the functioning of the knife. Most who purchase them cannot find them blemish that cause Kershaw to mark them as a blem in the first place.

Go with Dave/kershawguy! You will not be disappointed. He's like a loose girl on prom night, fast, easy, and ready to please, lol.

Seriously though, email him.

Blems usually have a scratch or misprint somewhere. My newest 0301 says "speedsafe" twice, that's all.

Blems come without box/papers or warranty, but Kershaw will send you parts to fix it yourself (free).

They usually have the four XXXX. but other than that, can't tell a difference.

I recently got a CPM-D2 Composite Leek blem, and can't even tell why it was labeled as a blem. Only way I could tell was the "XXXX" on the blade.

Can't say anything about other places, but all the blem I received from Kershawguy has performed flawlessly.

Isnt much more to say than above....ill just add i own a few blems and havent seen a mark on any of them. kershawguy is way to go

So far I have gotten a skyline and Shallot blem from Kershawguy (Dave) and the service was awesome! I will buy again :D

I found both blems, the skyline had a small ding in the side of the blade and the edge wasn't ground properly. The Shallot was the DLC model and it had scratches all over it. I don't mind tho because it is my second DLC Shallot, I got this one as heavy a user

Bought many blems from Dave he is the man, and go to guy for Kershaw/ZT.

I got a composite blade Leek blem from kershawguy a while back. It's still one of my favorite EDC knives. There was some purely cosmetic discoloration on the D2 part, but everything else about the knife functions flawlessly. If you don't need the warranty and don't mind possible cosmetic blemishes, blems are a great value. Even though they aren't covered by warranty, Kershaw still provides small replacement parts (eg. torsion bars, screws, etc.) as needed.
