Leek gold, no date stamp

Hi, just received a gold leek with no date stamp. I've read that it is supposed to be on the back of the handle. Any suggestions?
 
I think if it has one it is supposed to be on the blade itself on the back side/lock side near the flipper when opened.
 
We stopped date stamping in July of 2009. If it was before that, the date would be on the blade, like Juju said.
 
I guess the question now is when did kershaw quit making gold leeks! I thought they were a short run item. I have no clue but maybe KershawLynda, Jimmer or Leek freak would know? I'm sure Thomas is a bit busy with blade right meow.
 
Our local expert tells me these were made around 2004, but sadly it's not on my archive list so that's really more of an estimate. They were a special make up for a specific dealer, so that's likely why it wasn't date stamped. They definitely have not been made in the last few years.

The first one was made on friday at quiting time the second one was made on monday morning!
