Leek speed safe slow opening

I just purchased a rainbow leek, and while it is a very cool looking knife, when opening the knife it sometimes only comes part way out, unless I really give the index bump a real good push. I asked Kershaw support (they are great) about this and they sent me a new torsion bar (actually, two of them). The thing is, the knife is new and so is the torsion bar, so just replacing it won't necessarily solve this problem, right?

try loosing the pivot screw. it might just be tight.

i agree that the pivot bolt could be a bit tight, try loosening it.

also, you might have got a dud tension bar, so replacing it might help. i would suggest trying the pivot first.
