How are the thumb studs on the leek attached? Are they just screwed together? or a compression fit? Is it possible to remove one and reattach it is my question. Thanks.

I believe that the dual "thumb-studs" are one piece, and that they are compression-fitted into the hole that they sit in.

In any event I think they serve as a blade stop so removing them would be a bad idea.

Yes I know that, I just want to know if they can be removed and replaced easily without damaging the part. I have 6 different leeks sitting here and was thinking about what kind of alterations I could make to make my perfect frankinleek.
