Hi guys:)I just wanted to show off my customers trapper knife i recently customized with pre ban elephant ivory.I sent the knife to Leesa Martin and she performed her special magic on it.If you ever need scrimshaw,i dont think there is a more talented artist out there imo.I have taken some quick shots that arent very good, but will give you a hint of her talent.Im confident my customer will be quite happy.Im just going to have trouble giving it up.:D

Yep. Mrs. Daves wife :D does outstanding work. The first ones I saw posted were from Plumberdave over in the Buck s/f, and was really impressed with her work.

It brought back memories of the old Schrade Scrims. As of right now I don't have the donor knife that has really grabbed me, but I would like to have her do one with a picture of my beloved black Lab Holley, that we had put down a couple years ago.

Thanks Ash.I love projects like this.My customer really likes Bears obviously. The scenes were ideas just off the top of my head that Leesa really brought to life beyond my expectation.

I truly admire the work of an artist, whether it be the artist doing the scrimshaw or the artist doing the filework on the blades.
What I wouldn't give to have the talent and patience to do such work.

Don,

Thanks for the Leesa Martin posts.

The Ivory scales and your always excellent Don Seals file work provide a favorable environment for Leesa Martin's Bears.

Thanks for the show.

Mike H.

Don, Thanks, you are very kind. I really enjoyed the project. LM
