I have run into brand new Leeson 1.5 hp dc motors with a variable speed controller for $495.00. A friend became a dealer after the first of the year. THIS IS REAL CLOSE TO COST>> These will bolt up to most knife grinders..

Any takers let me know by email

Testimonial.....(unpaid!)

I use a Leeson 2HP DC with a rheostat on the AC side of the power supply and the motor works great and has plugged away for two years now without a problem. This looks like a great deal with the combination of motor and controller. The flange on mine needed no modification to mount the Burr King. I did have to drill and tap two hole into the motor casing to mount to the pedestal.

I use a Leeson 1 HP variable speed DC motor with reversing controller on my Jet 13x36 lathe. It works great for it, too. With the variable speed it will run as low as 60 RPM on the high speed side of the lathe. I very seldom have to use the back gearing.
