After my jeans pocket started to get a bit fuzzy from practicing wave openings with my 7b, I decided to try some left hand deployments, since I am sort of ambidextrous anyway (read "equally incompetent with either hand...). I was quite surprised to "discover" that one can wave the knife open into a reverse grip with very little effort.
Now, the only problem is that the tattered section extends 1/2 way along my pocket now...
On a related question. I was thinking of filing a slight scallop into the side of the RHS scale on the same side as the liner lock to facilitate left hand openings. If this is kept small and low profile, will it compromise strength very much? At present, I have to start the blade open with the middle finger before I can grab the thumbwheel with my thumb.
Congratulations Emerson on making a folding knife that can be easily deployed while wearing winter gloves!
Best regards
Clinton
