Has there been any plans on having ambidextrous pocket clip mountings on the EKI knives as a standard? I love Emerson knives and I have an Emerson Karambit myself (which happens to have pocket clip holes on both sides, I assume to allow for both forward and reverse grip carry in the pocket) and I'm interested in getting another one, but I am a little bit deterred by the extra $90 for getting a lefty modified one, compared to getting a regular one from newgraham.com. It seems it would be a quite simple thing to just offer amdidextrous pocket clip holes on all the models. Has there been any plans on doing this?

I'v not herd of any plans for two way clip mountings but it would be pretty simple
to drill and tap a set of holes on the other side if thats what you need.

You can have EKI drill and tap your knife for left hand carry for I think around 15 bucks(don't quote me on the price, it's been a while).... it's not a true left handed knife at that point(still right handed liner lock), but I carry a CQC7 every day set up that way and have no problems thanks to the wave.

That's exactly what I need.
I don't mind the liner lock on the right side, I generally like it better that way (except for in those cases where it is harder to open the knife, because the locking liner is in the way of your thumb, but that doesn't seem to be the case here). I just don't have any experience drilling in knives :-). But maybe I could have someone do it for me.. I'll look into that.

Thanks for the replies.

It is easy to do, you just need a 2-56 tap (i think) and the corresponding drill
bit.You can get tapping kits that will have everything you need, or take one
of the screws, clip and the handle bits to a machine shop and I bet they will
do it for you. My friend is always doing stuff like that for people at his shop.
