Would like to buy a production folder for my son (Left handed)
Whats out there for lefties?
(Tip up carry, 3 1/2" - 4" , PB, 154cm or S30V)

Thanks!
(Have never really thought about it)

I don't know of any specifically left handed models, but the Spyderco Endura I carry is fully ambidextrous and can be carried tip up or tip down. (There are four mounting points for the pocket clip.) The waved version can only be carried tip up, but is still reversible for left and right. The thumb hole and back lock are ambidextrous by nature. It's VG-10 rather than the steels you mentioned, but I would put VG-10 somewhere between 154cm and S30v for quality.

Southpaw myself, here are some that I have myself that are 100% ambidextrous and allow "tip up".

Benchmade Griptilian (all models)
Benchmade Ritter Griptilian (s30v with a different blade shape)
Spyderco Endura 4 (some previous versions were not, but the new "4" is)
Spyderco Native (s30v and $40.00 at Wal-Mart)
Benchmade 710

Chris Reeve Knives makes left hand Sebenzas.

The ambi Benchmade AXIS lock folders and Spyderco lock backs are good but less expensive alternatives.

I believe Strider makes the SNG in a lefty but good luck finding one. Your best bet would be a Sebenza or a Benchmade. Both are easy to find, fix/replace and are well built.

Most Axis and Lockbacks are Ambidextrous, so look over some Benchmades and Spydercos... 4" handle? Ritter-Grip and Delica are the first 2 that come to mind.

Also, you didn't specify a price range, but even under $100 you have a whole lot of options... perhaps you should have him look around for a knife he'd like?

Many of the Spyderco's allow you place the clip for right or left hand, tip up or down. The thumb hole is ambidextrous of course. The same can be said for several of the CRKT folders as well.
