  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

left hand

The HTM models all have ambidextrous opening (flippers) but right-handed locks and pocket clip holes. I'm sure he could do a lefty knife on one of his full customs, though.

Also, I keep forgetting to ask Darrel about it, but when he's a bit less busy (in a week or two), I'll bug him about the possibility of using the Blackie Collins Bolt-Action lock on a future knife, whether HTM or DDR. For anyone not familiar with the BA lock, originally designed by Blackie Collins many years ago, that Spyderco licensed to use on the Sage 3. You manipulate it in the same way you would an Axis Lock, so it'd be fully ambidextrous.

Ron, as a lefty, I have to say, the new model Gun Hammers are very comfortable for a lefty. Pocket clip placement is great, and actually function to lock the knife into your hand.

It would be cool if I could get her one of those with pink handles and a black dlc blade.
You could inquire with HTM about doing that through the HTM Custom Shop. It'll cost a bit more than the stock model, but the Custom Shop allows users to get custom options/combinations of features on their knives (e.g., handle inlays, different handle colors, a hand-rubbed blade finish instead of the standard machine tumbled finishes, etc.).

They don't do them. I found out yesterday. Oh well.....
You're referring to left-handed models as they thing they don't do, right? Pretty sure they do all of the cosmetic stuff (different blade and handle finishes, inlays, etc.) that I mentioned through the HTM Custom Shop.

I talked to Darrell personally at a show. He said they'd probably be able to move the pocketclip to the other side. But you'll have to contact him personally.
