I'm left-handed. I just turn the scabbard around in the frog.

I think it might work even better that way. The little knives are outside, but the khukuri lies closer to your side and the handle doesn't stick out as much.

Of course, it doesn't look as nice, because the scabbard seam shows instead of any nice tooling.
 
something else to try that works for me is to wear a right-handed rig right over your left back pocket,it's actually a very comfortable draw with some models.( does kinda make it hard to sit down though!)
