Hey there people.

Is there any way of getting hold of a left handed Subcom folder?
I love the Subcom and I'm thinking about getting one, but I'm left handed and I would really like one that is made for the left pocket.
Do Boker custom make left handed versions (if you ask nicely :))?

Aloha guys,

Hmmmmm, I can open and close my SubCom's easier with my left than my right, and I am right handed!:p

A few years ago, I asked about a true left hand version, as I believe there is a market for such a folder. Especially in the "Land of LEO"...

I wonder what Marketing thinks of this?;)

God bless and mahalo much:cool:

Yeah, the pocket clip's on the wrong side of the knife though and it doesn't feel so safe to drill holes for the pocket clip on the left side of the knife, since there is only FRN on that side and no metal liner for the bolts to go through. I like not having to change my grip as I pull the knife out of my pocket.

Talking about pocket clips, to me, having the pocket clip on the "correct" side of a folding knife also actually makes it a little smoother to open the knife, since I can hold the knife firmly in my hand with my finger tips resting on the clip while having my thumb completely free to operate the thumb stud. If I have it the other way around, my finger tips often tend to be partially in the way of the blade as it comes out. Only a small detail of course, but still.

And yes, you're right, CLOSING the knife actually goes a little easier and quicker with the left hand, but situations where I have to close my knife really fast occurs far more seldom than situations where I need to open my knife really fast.

Would be seriously cool if there was a left handed version.

take a closer look. mine has a thin metal liner..upon looking closer through the lanyard hole it looks to be about a mm or two thick

Hmm.. You're right, I missed that. I thought it was just a thick piece of FRN, but now I see that it is actually a metal liner. Thanks.
