Here is a left over from the ABS show.

this is a W2 blade water quenched with herring bone damascus forge welded to the spine, around the guard and around the handle frame.

7 1/2 inch blade
4 1/2 inch handle

hope you all like it

Of course I like it. Its remarkable. How could that one not sell? How was the show anyway?

I cannot believe that you would have anything left over.

I wish more people could comprehend how difficult that steel is to do Bill. The control you showed and ability to take Owens design and make it your own is to be commended. Great job Bill. Really great.

I handled/examined that one and it's a real beauty.
The herring bone pattern and placement is even more dramatic in hand.

Bruce I will be posting a review over the next few days.

It sounds bad, but I think this is a knife that only a maker can FULLY appreciate. :foot:

Making the steel like Owen does, in and of itself is a great accomplishment, but to turn around and forge weld it all around the knife and fittings is just crazy amazing. Bill didn't just do it, he did it with VERY precise control.

Crazy cool knife.

The other stag one is still my favorite though :p :D

Hey, Bill, absolutely wonderful looking knife. Now of course if you brought it home I'd assume you still want to sell it but unfortunately, I did not see it listed in the for sale section for makers. Someone might just like to pull the trigger my friend. Slap it in there with a price and you might just lose it real fast. Just a thought anyway.

Thanks alot guys. you are all making me feel like I might someday be a knifemaker.

Nick you are absolutly right in the maker reply. With only a few exceptions most of the people that looked at this knife thought that this was engraving metal inlay or wanted to know why the pattern didn't show on the sides of the blade.

That's killer Bill maybe I will get to see it at Blade west. That one should to well in the bowie competition.

Bill, that's really amazing. You are, as I stated before, one of the best steel makers around:thumbup::cool:

Murry, I am planning on taking it to Blade West in two weeks. I suppose that IF someone wanted it I would sell as long as I could still take it to the show for the judging competiton.

Marcel, I thank you very much.

Dave, I'll see there Bro.

I just glanced at it first time around & I too thought it was engraved. Over the top................

That is a great piece and unfortunately one that most people don't realize how much work and knowledge is required to make it right.
