Lefties...

Have any lefties here carried a fixed blade knife, in a right handed sheath on their left side? Any problems or concerns?

I'm not left handed, but I know from making a sheath for my friend who is. A right handed sheath worn on the left side, has the blade facing the wrong way.

I make left handed sheaths all the time so I'm guessing most left handed folks don't want to use right handed sheaths.

Yeah, that's my thought also, was just wondering. I have a Buck 212 on the way, and they don't offer a lefty sheath for it like they do for a 119.

That’s an easy fix.

I’m left handed and love to carry fixed blades I have quite a few smaller knives 5-7 in I carry in left front pocket or cross draw. Larger knifes 7-13 inch I carry right side. The gun rides at 9 o’clock.

So do you have lefty sheaths made for the larger knives, or use the stock righty sheaths?

Stock right for the most part. I’ve made a couple of sheaths for myself and hope to have time soon to really start making more for my knives.
