i am a lefty and think emersons policy for the left handed versions are unfair:(
other knife makers i have purchased from sell the left handed(ambidextrious)versions for the same price, whereas emerson gouges the lefty's and you have to pay full retail!another idea would be to use an axis-type lock so the knives could be used with either hand as well as a reversable pocket clip. any plans for future productions? i would be interested in the lefty(and/or ambidextrious styles), but NOT at full retail price.

At Blade Show West I saw a new knife that EKI is coming out with. It is a mid lock with a clip that can be put on either side. I think that the price will be less than $100. The left hand policy is a business decision made by Ernie. Fact is that there is not a whole lot of demand for left hand knives. We live a right handed world. As a fellow southpaw, I have to order my knives custom made. Look at the bright side, being left handed has saved me a ton of money. Crawford charges an extra $50 for left hand versions of his knives. Most custom makers will not charge exrta to make a left hand knife but you have to order it and wait. About your only choice is to pay the price or patronize makers that are left hand friendly. Life isn't about being fair.;) :D :p
