Looking for lefty carry option for my newly aquired SAR 3. Prefer leather but am flexible as to kydex etc. just no tec-locs hate em. I'm really looking for something quick so I can start EDCing this bad boy soon. Any suggestions or maybe one of ya'll has something you'd be willing to part with? Thanks!

C'mon guys! I know I'm new to this sub forum but throw a new lefty Busse addict a bone pleeeeeeese?

I got one of the Mashed Cat's from the store, tossed the tec-loc in a drawer, put in a SAR-3, stuck the package in my pocket and called it good.

I used an IWB loop for a bit, but it rode a bit higher than I like, so it's in the drawer with the tec-locs.

Kydex sheaths are ambidextrous. just depends on what side you put the attachment, or not

All my EDC leather sheaths are Randalls, made as lefties, I wear them IWB on the right, or slipped in a pocket, clip out.

None of my EDC kydec sheaths have an attachment, I use them IWB.

Hope this helps.

oh, and welcome new guy !

Being a lefty myself I totally understand about lefty sheaths being a little hard to get.

The nice thing about having all these custom makers hanging around is its much easier these days :)

it's the wait time that kills me, just got email replies from your shop and one other, 6 to 8 weeks. looking for better solutions than that, no offense i know ya'll are busy.

A good friend of mine said it best:

"There's a good reason a lot of these makers have a long line waiting for their work"

:)

Check out Savage made Sheaths. He made my Sar-3 leather sheath with a very quick turn around and and fair price. He probably wont need your knife either.

Here's mine:

Yes, you get what you pay for and quite often decent things take a while to make, but some are backed up more than others so it makes a difference. My Savage sheath is quite stout and I've been EDCing it for 3 months with no visible wear.

Thanks for the good lead brother. I am by no means detracting from the excellent work by the fine leathersmiths here, I'm just impatient to start carrying this little jem and being a lefty the Busse store didn't offer a lefty option.

No prob, Bob... I think there's enough business around here for all the sheath makers to get their *snout* wet.

I cant speak for other makers here, but,

I do NOT have a beak!!!! :p

I have a snout! Like everyone else.
