Hello,

I am looking to alter the carry of my RC-6 and wanted some feedback.

I am looking at either a simple drop leg extender:

Or a full MOLLE thigh platform:

Just looking for thoughts or feedback!

Thanks in advance for the help...

Hey Nathanial4 -- Thigh rigs are a great setup for carrying a drop-leg holster rig along with other "gear". However, if you're just carrying the RC6, I would say it may be a little over-kill. You might want to just "tie-in" your current sheath or maybe consider something like this...http://www.redhillsheaths.com/thighstrap.html

Hey Nathanial,

my opinion is to forget the leg rigs, if you have a molle back just stich 2 loops to the plastic end of the sheath and you can wear it as low as you want on your belt. I carry my rc4 that way in duty and on the field, and it fits me perfect.

Those leg platforms are a pain in the ass if you ever want to run. The more you strap to them the worse it gets. That blackhawk extender would work fine, I saw one where the guy took out the stitching on it so he could remove the buckle connector thing, and then you just unvelcro it and slip it through the loop on top of the molle back and you're all set. A little paracord around your leg is far more comfortable than a big old strap with a nice fat plastic buckle.
